Adani Foundation, the CSR, sustainability and community outreach arm of the Adani Group, has committed ₹50 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support the people affected by the recent devastating floods.
A sum of ₹25 crore for immediate relief was handed over to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday by Chief Executive Officer, Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt Ltd (AVPL), Rajesh Jha on behalf of the foundation.
Assistance of ₹25 crore has been earmarked for rehabilitation and resettlement. The financial assistance will be dispatched in phases to aid the State in its task of reconstruction and rehabilitation. The group’s employees have pledged a day’s salary to flood relief, a release here said.
