Stock market update: Market in a cautious mood, but these stocks soar up
NEW DELHI: Even as domestic equity market reflected cautious sentiment, shares of Nectar Lifesciences (up 15.20 per cent) and Amrutanjan Health Care (up 13.31 per cent) zoomed up to 15 per cent on NSE in Friday's morning session of trade.
Stock such as Sudarshan Chemical Industries (up 7.48 per cent), Sanghvi Movers (up 6.25 per cent), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals (up 6.07 per cent), Shilpa Medicare (up 5.33 per cent) and Godawari Power and Ispat (up 5.09 per cent) were trading over 5 per cent higher around the same time.
Domestic market was in a cautious mood, tracking global cues as US-China trade talks ended without any major breakthrough.
The two-day talk between the US and Chinese officials ended without any solution to the trade dispute.
Moreover, rupee extended its fall against the US dollar on Friday, hitting the risk appetite of investors.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 5 points up at 11,587, while the BSE Sensex was up 23 points at 38,360 around 10:10 am.
In the Nifty index, 28 stocks were in the green and 22 were in the red.
UPL, Power Grid Corporation of India, Grasim Industries, Coal India and Bajaj Finance were among the top gainers, while ICICI Bank, Cipla, Titan Compan, Sun Pharma and Hindalco Industries were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
