Lethal Weapon: Here's Your First Look at Seann William Scott as Riggs' Replacement

Lethal Weapon may have said goodbye to Riggs (Clayne Crawford), but his replacement seems to be filling his shoes pretty well so far! Seann William Scott's Detective William Cole makes his debut in a brand new promo for the Fox drama's third season, and he looks pretty lethal himself -- at least if his epic fight scenes are anything to go by. As a former international CIA operative, Cole will find himself suddenly navigating a new partnership with Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) in Los Angeles when Season 3 picks up.

"I take this partnership thing very seriously," Murtaugh very seriously tells Cole in the trailer right before we cut to the two of them jumping off the roof of a moving van. Setting aside the very obvious CGI work going on in that stunt, this new partnership looks like a quippy and promising new dynamic for the show.

There is still no word yet on how or if Riggs will be written out of the premiere.

Lethal Weapon will return Tuesday, September 25 at 9/8c on Fox.
