UAE denies announcement of Rs 700 cr as financial aid for flood-hit Kerala
Source: TNNAmid ongoing slugfest between Centre and state government over refusal of foreign aid for flood-hit state Kerala, the UAE ambassador to India, Ahmed Albanna, told a daily that his nation has officially not announced any specific amount as aid for the flood-hit state so far. The UAE ambassador said that the assessment of relief operations is still underway and the amount as aid has yet not been finalised. Earlier, Kerala Chief minister P Vijayan had claimed that crown prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan had offered rs 700 crore as financial aid.
