Veteran Journalist Kuldip Nayar Dies At 95

His funeral will be conducted on Thursday afternoon

Kuldip Nayar, renowned journalist and author, died on Thursday at the age of 95.

His funeral will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday at the Lodhi Road crematorium, The Hindu reported.

Nayar, who served as high commissioner of India to the UK in 1990, was a former editor of The Indian Express. Nayar, who strongly opposed the emergency imposed by then prime minister Indira Gandhi, was also jailed during the period.
