Ahead of the Bugatti Divo’s world premiere, which will be streamed live on Friday, a final teaser image of the hypercar has been released.
Taking to Instagram, the French manufacturer confirmed that this teaser shows part of the Divo’s hood. Although it’s difficult to make out certain details from this image, one thing we know for sure is that the hood is a heck of a lot more aggressive than what the Chiron features.
In the center of the bonnet, a light blue fin appears to run from the windshield down to the horseshoe grille. To the side of this fin are massive air ducts which will funnel out air that’s sucked in by the Divo’s grille and front air intakes. The image also reveals that most of the Divo’s exterior will wear a shade of matte grey or matte black, while blue accents will be featured throughout.
Just 40 units will be built.
Previous teasers have offered a glimpse of the car’s silhouette, including its huge rear wing as well as the hypercar’s distinct engine note.
While Bugatti is keeping its cards close to its chest, numerous reports provide us with a clear idea of what to expect from the Divo and its powertrain.
Like the Chiron, power will continue to come from a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine, although it’s unclear if Bugatti will lift the output beyond 1,479 hp and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. Even if it doesn’t, the performance of the Divo is set to be a step beyond the Chiron’s thanks to the implementation of a motorsport-derived transmission that will improve acceleration.
Of course, due to new aerodynamic parts, the Divo will have a lower top speed than the Chiron. Although, it should more than make up for that deficit through the corners, where it’s set to thrive.
