Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are that rare Bollywood pair who are not afraid to profess their love for each other. Ranbir, who is working with girlfriend Alia in Brahmastra, has been vocal about their relationship while she is comparatively restrained. However, it changed on the day that Ranbir told Hindustan Times that their love is “sacred” to him.

Alia not only shared an image on her social media where she is seen wearing Ranbir’s favourite number 8, but wrote with it, “To infinity and beyond.” This is the closest Alia has come to accepting her relationship with Ranbir while she does share photos of him and clicked by him on her Instagram handle.

Ranbir is a football fan and is often photographed playing with friends from the fraternity, always sporting a number 8 jersey. Earlier, Alia was seen wearing an oversized, slouchy blue FC Barcelona jacket from Nike, which looked like it was her beau Ranbir’s. The Sanju actor who even plays professional football for Mumbai City FC and often sports Barca cap and jersey, even has a Nike FC Barcelona (Futbol Club Barcelona) T-shirt in his name.

While talking about his relationship with Alia, Ranbir had said, “ It is something beautiful, sacred and really important to you, so you want to deal with it in a nice manner.”

Talking about how the relationship is happening when he has matured, Ranbir had said, “I am older now and wiser, too. I realise the value of human relationships, and I am not just talking about a partner, parents, friends or directors, but whoever is in your orbit [at that particular point]. I also realise the value of heartbreak as well as the hurt. I am not saying that I have reached a point where I know everything. It’s a constant struggle and you have to keep evolving as a person to be better, and that’s what I want to be. I want to be a good person, I’d like to do good work, get married, have children and die happy.”

Alia and Ranbir are shooting for Brahmastra, which is their first film together. The couple made news regularly as they worked together on the film in Bulgaria. Alia had shared photos with photo credit to Ranbir while they were spotted together at a team event.

Ranbir accepted their relationship in an interview to GQ in May. “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to over speak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is – what’s the right word? – flowing right now,” he had said.
