Lohapatre and Vartikar clinch junior TT titles

Pune: Gaurav Lohapatre and Pritha Vartikar defeated respective opponents to lift the junior boys and girls title at the Dr Pramod Mulay Memorial Pune District Ranking Table Tennis Championship being played at PYC Hindu Gymkhana here on Wednesday. 

In the Junior Boys category final, ninth seeded and 17 year old Lohapatre from BMCC College defeated second seeded Aarush Galpalli with the score of 7-11, 11-5,11-4, 11-9, 8-11, 11-6 to win his second title of the season.

Meanwhile in the Junior Girls category final, top seeded Vartikar who is a seventh standard student of PES Modern School claimed her third title of the season as she scraped past second seeded Swapnali Narle 11-9, 11-2, 8-11, 11-5, 11-7.
