PATNA: Two separate
Patna police teams have been sent to Satna in Madhya Pradesh and Allahabad in
Uttar Pradesh to nab at least 15 alleged members of an interstate ' Nat giroh' involved in the killing of one Ajay Vishwakarma (42) during dacoity at village Nawada under the Phulwarisharif police station area in Patna on July 17. The gang had also injured Ajay Malakar (40) and his wife Gudiya Devi (35) during the dacoity.
Police came to know about the gang after its two members, Bunti Kazi Patel and Chandar Chauhan, were arrested during a dacoity in a private house at Sadanand Singh Marg near
Bhootnath Road under the Agamkuan police station area in Patna on August 19.
Agamkuan SHO Ashok Kumar Pandey said a daredevil housewife called the police around 2.36am and informed that dacoits had entered into their house and locked the family inside a room. "Police surrounded the house and arrested the two. Cash, camera, jewellery and other valuables looted from the house were seized from them," Pandey said.
While Bunti was from Kaka under the Kotwali police station area in Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Chandar belonged to Nariyal Talab under the Phulgama police station area in Satna, Madhya Pradesh.
Phulwarisharif SDPO Ramakant Prasad said the gang has members even from Chitrakoot and Devas in Madhya Pradesh apart from Satna and Allahabad. "The gang member had been arrested from
Vindhyachal, Banda and Satna in the past. They used to procure fake Aadhaar card in every state where they committed crime. This modus operandi has made it tough to trace their criminal records," he said.
