Olive Garden has sold out of its $300 full-year Never Ending Pasta Pass and its $100 eight-week pass, the company said on its website Thursday. The company was only offering 1,000 of the annual pasta passes, that give customers 52 weeks of unlimited servings of pasta, soup or salad, as well as breadsticks. It offered 23,000 of the eight-week passes. That deal applies for eight weeks starting Sept. 24. The passes became available at 2 p.m. today. In previous years, they have sold out in seconds. The Darden Restaurants Inc. chain DRI, +0.48% said it opted to offer the full-year pass after customers said the eight-week offer was not long enough, according to Jennifer Arguello, executive vice president of marketing for Olive Garden. Darden shares were slightly higher, and have gained 19% in 2018, while the S&P 500 SPX, -0.17% has gained 7%.
