15-yr old boy’s body fished out of nullah

After more than 30 hours, the body of a 15-year-old boy who had fallen in a nullah on Tuesday at Teelajamalpura area was fished out on Wednesday from New Categorised market area.

SHO Teelajamalpura Dinesh Chouhan said that more than 70 member team including divers from BMC, NDRF and police conducted the rescued operation for the whole day on Tuesday and halted in the night and resumed in the morning on Wednesday and later at around 2.30 pm body was recovered by BMC diver at New Categorized market.

The deceased swept under the heavy water current which carried the body for around 3 km. The divers conducted the rescue operation but body was recovered in the afternoon on Wednesday after long stretch of the nullah was searched, he added.

The deceased identified as Waseem Khan fell in nullah at around 6 am and during the rescue operation by SDRF and BMC divers failed to find the deceased and later on Wednesday his body was recovered during rescue operation.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.

Meanwhile a 25-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her residence in Suhaya village under Berasia police station area on Tuesday.

Police said that the deceased identified as Surbhi Dhakad was found hanging with the ceiling and rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.

The police have started investigation as the reason remained unknown.
