Venkaiah to attend AIIMS convocation on August 25

Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu is scheduled to visit here on August 25 to attend the first convocation of the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.

He was earlier scheduled to attend the ceremony on August 16, but the programme was later rescheduled for August 25. Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty informed that 25 platoons of police force would be deployed during the Vice-President’s visit to the city. A review of security arrangements was conducted on Wednesday by senior police officers. “The entire security arrangement has been done as per the Blue Book guidelines. As the Vice-President will be in Bhubaneswar for four to five hours, a detailed review of the security arrangements from his arrival at the airport to the Raj Bhavan and to the AIIMS and return to the airport was done,” Mohanty added.
