Eight animals, one vulture die in Assam Zoo

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday visited the Assam Zoo after eight animals and a vulture died in the past one week.
The deaths followed the spread of a virus.

"The Divisional Forest Officer told me that eight animals and a Himalayan Vulture have died so far," said Sonowal.

The Chief Minister directed the zoo authority to vaccinate all the animals as a preventive step.
