Tirupur: Eight goats were killed in an attack by stray dogs in a farm near Kangeyam on Wednesday.
Seventy-six-year-old Muthusamy K of Ayyakuttivalasu, owner of nine goats, had placed them inside the pen on his farm on Tuesday evening. He found eight of them dead in a pool of blood. One goat was struggling for life.
“It was difficult to trace the predator. However, bite marks and preliminary investigations by veterinary doctors revealed that it was an attack by stray dogs,” a revenue department official said. TNN
