NOIDA: The 16 ft x 8 ft
vertical garden at Noida entry gate, which was set up on Monday is now being shifted to a pillar near
DPS school under the city’s first six-km elevated road which links
Vishwa Bharti School (Sector 28) to Shopprix Mall (Sector 61), with an exit at City Centre at Sector 32.
The vertical garden which was placed on the left side entry of Noida at sector 14A has been removed on Tuesday and will be put up at a pillar near DPS School under the newly constructed 6 km elevated road.
The 16 ft x 8 ft vertical garden will be split into two parts of 8 ft x 8 ft each with one part set up at a pillar near DPS School and another to be put up at another pillar under the elevated road near Kailash hospital. “The work of placing the vertical garden at these two locations will be done within this week,” said Rajeev Tyagi, general manager Noida Authority.
While plants such as Alternanthra Tricolour, Sapcresia and Alternanthra Green adorn the said vertical garden, the move follows Noida Authority’s drive to improve the city’s aesthetic beauty and also curb pollution.
The
horticulture department has set up one such garden under Sector 15 flyover on the way to Udyog Marg. More vertical gardens will come up on the Shahadra Bridge, which will cover the drains on both the sides and also minimise the bad odour. In addition to this, by month end, all pillars of metro stations in sectors 15, 16 and 18 will dot vertical gardens.
