2 teenage girls commit suicide by jumping from Tenught Dam

Sunita Kumari(17) and her classmate Meena Kumari jumped to death from a high-rise water dam in Tenught on Tuesday afternoon,police sources said.

According to reports, the deceased were identified as Sunita Kumari daughter of Chandradeo Saw resident of  New Shatrinagar and other namely Meena Kumari, belonging to Manshanagar jarandih ,students of K.V.college,Jarandi. Both aged about 15 and 16 years and have put their rings,mobile and others article at the boundary floor before jumping out the dam, Sources said.

The reasons for the suicides are not known, but police suspect pressure of performing well in the examination or family despute. According to the ASP, Subhash Chandra jat said that ,"It is not known what exactly had happened,and how they came here from jarandih. As there was someone were crossing the way and seen this happened at around 3.30pm, both the girls suddenly jumped off from the Dam one after the other and drowned in the dam ”added ASP.

The police found rings,mobiles but couldn't receive suicide note at the boundary floor.

Preliminary inquiries by the police revealed that both the girls were average in their studies. “May be they were under pressure to perform better in the examinations or having some others problems,the police said.

The bodies were trying to search in dam but till filling this reports could not be traced.

“As per the initial investigation, it is a case of suicide, However, we registered a case of suspicious death and took up investigation,” the police officer said.
