Five arrested, 31 theft, loot cases solved: Police

Bokaro police arrested five goons including one ornament trader involved in several theft and loot cases under different police stations during the past three months in Bokaro. All five are the residents of Dhanbad and they used to come to Bokaro to conduct theft and loot incidents, police said.

Working on a tip-off three criminals were arrested from Jharia in Dhanbad while two were arrested from Nayamore, Bokaro, informed Kartik S, Superintendent of Police Bokaro district.

“Police seized two loaded country-made pistols, live bullets and one motorbike from the criminals arrested at Nayamore. The criminals were identified as Md Aftab Ansari and Guddu Ansari alias Faiyaz Ansari,” added the SP.  

Three more criminals were arrested from Jharia at Dhanbad, were identified as Vishal, Sharad and Bhagwan Das after raids, he said.

“During interrogation, the accused have confessed to their involvement in more than 30 incidents of loot and theft incidents under Chanderpura, IEL Gomia,  Bermo, City police station, Sector 4, Sector 6 and Sector 12 police stations,” said the SP.
