Eesha and Adarsh win mixed doubles table tennis title

Pune: Top seeds, Eesha Joshi and Adarsh Gopal held their nerves to secure a 3-1 victory over second seeded Vaibhav Dahibhate and Purva Sohoni to clinch the mixed doubles title in the Dr Pramod Mulay Memorial Pune District Table Tennis Championship at PYC Gymkhana on Tuesday. 

Eesha and Adarsh started on an easy note winning the first set 11-3. In the second set, Vaibhav and Purva rallied back to make it one all.
In the third set, Eesha and Adarsh got their act together taking a 2-1 lead, claiming the third set 11-7. In the fourth set, everything went right for Eesha and Adarsh as they wrapped up claiming the fourth set 11-7.

In the boys junior category, ninth seeded Gaurav Lohapatre secured a 4-1 victory over fourth seeded Shriyash Bhosale to enter the final. After taking the first two sets 11-8, 11-8 Gaurav showed some grit to win the third set 11-7 but the next two sets went in favour of Gaurav as he moved into the final winning  the fourth and fifth set 11-8, 11-7. 
In the second semi-final, second seeded Aarush Galpalli sweat it out hard to get the better of third seeded Karan Kukreja 11-5, 11-5, 12-10, 8-11, 6-11, 13-11.
