JALANDHAR: Two persons claiming to be leaders of the Shiv Sena (Samajwadi) have been booked for hurting religious statements and criminal conspiracy by uploading abusive videos on social media. One of them has also been arrested.

Bunty, claiming to be incharge of the youth wing of Shiv Sena (Samajwadi), uploaded a video a few days back in which he was seen hurling filthy abuses on ‘Khalistanis’ and challenging them to confront him. After some local Sikh groups lodged a complaint with the police, an inquiry was held and later a case was registered. On Monday, another leader of the same outfit, Saurabh, who claimed to be state secretary, uploaded another video in Bunty’s support, used provocative language and again threw a challenge to the ‘Khalistanis’. He also abused them.

Saurabh was arrested by the police in the same case on Monday evening. Division No. 6 SHO Onkar Singh Brar said the case was registered after an investigation was carried by assistant commissioner of police (crime) and both accused were booked under Sections 295-A and 120-B of the IPC.

Meanwhile, a fresh round of challenges and counter challenges has started over the issue. After Bunty threw challenge to the ‘Khalistani’ groups and used filthy language, some Nihang groups have countered him by daring to face them. They also came looking for him on Sunday night and on Monday posted a fresh challenge to face them.
