The Congress continued its attack on the government over alleged ‘irregularities’ in teachers’ transfers in violation of the web-counselling procedures and questioned why the government was reacting through the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Navin Mittal.
Chief Spokesperson of Telangana Congress Sravan Dasoju said that as a responsible opposition party they had written a letter to the Chief Minister to order an inquiry into the allegations, but the response is coming from the officer, who he said, was involved in the irregularities. He wanted to know how several candidates were transferred in May itself while web counselling dates were given for June month. Moreover, the official also agreed that 120 people were shifted ‘On Duty’ while another 50 were ‘adjusted’ after the web counselling was over.
About 400 spouse case employees have not been transferred while others have benefited. ‘Adjustments’ and ‘On Duty’ should have been mentioned in the notification itself, he said. Mr. Sravan said the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao should constitute a commission of inquiry to bring out the truth.
