Sawan Mela 2018 concludes on high note

Evoking a great response by the Bhopal shopaholics, the Sawan Mela 2018 concluded here on Monday with a lot of enthusiasm. On the last day of the fair a huge crowd was observed at the historic shopping hub of the city.

Featuring a different variety of dress materials embedded with rare motifs attracted a huge crowd. The different and new motifs over Maheshwari and Chanderi were much in demand. Also the lawn Pakistani suits captivated much crowd of the youngsters especially. Even on the concluding day people were observed buying home decor for the festive season.

The mela displayed all about the handloom and handicraft materials from all over the State. This time the people of Bhopal could explore the vibrant colours of State’s exceptional varieties of dress materials and other articles. Fair is furnished with the beautiful handicrafts and handloom in Chanderi, Maheshwari, Kosa Silk, decorative pieces, bronze statues and bamboo furniture as well.

Also the dress materials that was available in regular Chanderi, Maheshwari and Kosa Silk features salwar suits, sarees, running material and textiles were beautifully adorned with Bagh print, Block print as well as Dabu print were presented beautifully in vibrant colours.

On asking about the response of the people at the fair manager of Mrignayanee Gauhar Mahal Brijendra Singh said, “The response was very good this time. People were msotly captivated towards buying the material and decorative pieces too at affordable prices.”

The Bhopalites took interest in the fair during this weather as well. Commenting on the fact he further said, “People are totally enjoying shopping during the stroking heat too and they usually do take advantage of shopping and nothing else,” he added contentedly.
