C'garh:Ultras kill elderly man on suspicion of police informer

A 70-year-old villager was allegedly hacked to death by naxals in Chhattisgarh's district, the police said today.

The incident occurred on Sunday (August 19) night in Dabba village, around 200 kms from state capital Raipur, a local police said.

A group of armed naxals, belonging to Mohla LOS (local organisation squad) called out of his house and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons, the said, adding that Tulavi died on the spot.

The denied that Tulavi was associated with the police.

"According to villagers, Tulavi was active in cultural and religious activities in the area," he said.

Police have registered a case and a is on to trace the ultras.
