DU releases 9th cut-off list to fill vacant seats

In order to fill the vacant seats in all categories, Delhi University (DU) came up with its ninth cut-off list for admission to its merit based undergraduate (UG) courses for academic session 2018-19 on Monday.

The Special Drive (9th Cut-off) of the UG admissions is meant only for those eligible applicants, who are not admitted to any College/Course of the University but meet any of the preceding cut-offs.

The general category seats are already filled and admissions have been “closed” for general category at sought out courses in north and south campuses.

On the other hand chances are still available in plenty for students of reserved categories despite of DU coming up with a reserved category cut-off in form of 8th cut-off.

At Ramjas College in north Campus, Cut-off for BA (H) Economics for general category is 95.25 per cent, 95.50 per cent BA (H) Political Science , 93.25 percent for BA programme.

At Miranda House Women College, BA (Hons) English and BA (Hons) Sociology is available for general category students at 96.25 and 94.75 per cent.

While at Satyawati College, BA Programme, B.Com and B.Com (Hons) is available for general category at 83.50, 88.50 and 91.50 per cent respectively.

At Aryabhatta College, BA (Hons) History and BA (H) Political Science is available for general category aspirants at 85 and 88.50 per cent respectively.

DU had earlier planned to come up with only five cut-offs but in wake of vacant seats in particular courses at colleges and in order to make total admission figures in tune with the reservation policy had come up with the subsequent cut-offs including the eighth cut-off meant for  reserved categories and other cut-offs for all.

Document verification and approval of admission against the ninth cut-off would be made from Tuesday 21st August to Wednesday, 22nd August.
