Monsoon claims 2 lives in Marathwada

Aurangabad: Torrential rain, lashing Nanded, Hingoli and Parbhani districts of Marathwada region, has claimed two lives in the past 24 hours.

Reports from Nanded stated that two farmers identified as Maruti Bikhre (62) and Bharat Todkar (35) in Nanded district got washed away on Monday. Normal life was paralysed following continued rain since last couple of days in Hingoli and Parbhani districts also.

According to the Divisional Commissioner official sources issued update rainfall stated that the highest rainfall of 80 mm was registered in Nanded district in past 24 hours followed by Hingoli 62 mm, Parbhani 52 mm, Aurangabad 36 mm, Jalna 31 mm, Beed 28 mm, Latur 27 mm and Osmanabad 22 mm.
