House fully engulfed in flames in Brisbane's east

A house in the Brisbane suburb of Carina caught fire on Tuesday afternoon, rapidly becoming fully engulfed in smoke and flames.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said no one was home at the time of the blaze and no one was injured.

Two fire crews were on scene by 1.30pm with firefighters in breathing apparatus investigating the fire, the spokeswoman said.
