To facilitate evacuation of stranded flood victims from Kerala to Odisha, a special train will be run between Bhubaneswar – Ernakulam – Bhubaneswar: Train No. 08463 Bhubaneswar – Ernakulam Special will depart Bhubaneswar at 04.00 hours on August 23 (Thursday) and arrive in Ernakulam at 12.30 hours on the next day i.e. August 24.
In the return direction, Train No. 08464 Ernakulam – Bhubaneswar Special will depart Ernakulam at 17.30 hours on August 24 (Friday) and arrive in Bhubaneswar at 05.45 hours on August 26 (Sunday). Stops will be at Khurda Road Jn, Brahmapur, Palasa, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore and Palakkad stations. These special trains consist of sleeper class coaches, a press release said.
