Satyameva Jayate Box Office Collection Day 6
John Abraham-starrer Satyameva Jayate managed to do wonders at the box office despite its clash with Gold starring Akshay Kumar. The movie, directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, released on Independence Day this year along with Reema Kagti’s sports drama. It was touted to be one of the biggest clashes of 2018. However, the clash didn’t hamper the business for either of two. While Akshay Kumar’s film is inching towards the 100-crore mark, Satyameva Jayate has successfully crossed the 50-crore mark on Monday. The cop-drama got mixed response from the film critics across the country however, most of them were praising John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee’s towering performances in the film. On day 7, let’s see how Satyameva Jayate fared in its six days of run in the theatres.
Satyameva Jayate Box Office Collection Day 6
The film managed to rake in Rs 10.26 crores on Sunday, owing to weekend and positive word of mouth. Though, the numbers are expected to plummet on Monday being a normal working day. Same is expected from Akshay Kumar’s Gold which reached the Rs 77 crore mark on Sunday. Now, we’ll have to wait and see the amount of decline both the films suffer on a working Monday.
And the biz multiplies on Sun... Both, #Gold and #SatyamevaJayate have recorded strong figures over the *5-day extended weekend*... Combined biz is approx ₹ 125 cr nett [+/-]... Ironically, approx one-third biz [of ₹ 125 cr] was accumulated on #IndependenceDay alone.

Satyameva Jayate Box Office Report
John Abraham’s revenge drama opened with Rs 18 crore at the box office, making it the highest opening film for the actor. The graph, however, went downwards for the next two days, slightly increasing after day 4. Satyameva Jayate’s opening day collection was also affected by clash with Gold to some extent. It could’ve easily made Rs 25 crores had it not been for Akshay Kumar film. On the other hand, Gold earned Rs 27 crores on day 1, which is the highest for any Akshay Kumar film ever.
#SatyamevaJayate packs a STRONG *extended* opening weekend total... Went downhill on Day 2, but remained consistent from Day 3 to Day 5... Weekdays biz is crucial... Wed 20.52 cr, Thu 7.92 cr, Fri 9.18 cr, Sat 9.03 cr, Sun 10.26 cr. Total: ₹ 56.91 cr. India biz.

Satyameva Jayate Movie Review
India TV rates Satyameva Jayate 2.5 out of five. Our film critic writes, “From bribery to fake gallantry medals, the film talks about all. It hits right at the point when it refers to the Khaki colour as the new colour of fear and bias and didn’t shy away from raising fingers at the existent flaws in our system. The film packs many punches like ‘Gareeb insaan kachre ki tarah hote hain aur kachre ko insaaf nahi milta.’, ‘note badle neeyat nahi’ lampooning the fraudulent ways of the police. The eternal chase between Veer and Shivansh keep you at the edge of your seat. The film is full of anger and frustration and you will feel the same while watching it. It’s not a happy film for even fraction of a second, and so, it’s the utmost real.”
