CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) " Wyoming primary voters choose Tuesday from six Republican candidates for governor and decide whether to replace a U.S. senator with a wealthy outsider.

This Wyoming governor's race is the most contested since at least 2010. Republican Gov. Matt Mead is prevented by term limits from running again.

The largest share of Republican votes could go to any of at least four of the six candidates including investor and philanthropist Foster Friess, State Treasurer Mark Gordon, attorney Harriet Hageman and businessman Sam Galeotos.

Former state Rep. Mary Throne faces three little-known opponents in the Democratic primary for governor.

In the Republican U.S. senate primary, Jackson Hole businessman Dave Dodson seeks to unseat incumbent John Barrasso.

Wilson businessman Gary Trauner is unopposed for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate.
