GURUGRAM: A man from
Uttar Pradesh was
booked on Sunday for allegedly sending obscene messages to a woman on WhatsApp and
Facebook. When the woman and her father confronted the man, he threatened to kill her. An FIR has been registered at Sector 5 police station.
According to police, the 20-year-old woman, a resident of Sheetla
colony, received the obscene message carrying a morphed photo of herself on WhatsApp from an unknown number on Sunday at 10.15am. She warned the accused and told her father about it. “The accused started sending more such messages and threatened to kill her. When I said that we would lodge a police complaint, he posted those photos on Facebook. When I inquired about the number we found that it belongs to a man from our village in
Raebareli district,” the father of the girl said in his complaint, filed on Sunday evening.
On the basis of his complaint, an FIR has been registered against the accused at Sector 5 police station on Sunday.
“We have put the mobile numbers of the accused on surveillance. As per the allegation, the accused has been identified as Sevesh Yadav, from Raebareli district,
UP and he will be arrested soon,” said inspector Narender Yadav, SHO of Sector 5 police station.
