Xiaomi Poco F1 leaked ahead of August 22 launch

Xiaomi's new sub-brand Poco is all set to launch its first smartphone in India dubbed as the Poco F1 on August 22. The new Poco F1 is expected to be the cheapest smartphone in India to be powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Rumours have it that Xiaomi might price the Poco F1 under Rs 30,000. Also, there could be three versions of Poco F1 in different RAM and internal storage options.

Xiaomi could launch the Poco F1 with 6GB of RAM along with 64GB and 128GB internal memory, according to a Geekbench leak. Additionally, there could be a special 8GB RAM variant with 256GB of internal storage. The Poco F1 will compete directly with the OnePlus 6 and Xiaomi is expected to market the new device as a gaming smartphone. The Xiaomi Poco F1 will be available exclusively on Flipkart.

The upcoming Poco F1 is expected to come with 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160×1080pixel. The display is likely to be a full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by an octa core Snapdragon 845 SoC supported by an Adreno 630 GPU.

The Poco F1 is expected to run on company’s MIUI 9 out-of-the-box operating system based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The device is likely to pack 6GB RAM paired with 64GB and 128GB internal storage.

As for the camera, the smartphone will feature a vertically stacked dual rear camera on the back panel along with a regular front camera. The device could be powered by a 4000mAh battery. Dual-band Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth, and Band 40 LTE support are the expected connectivity options that will come with Poco F1.
