Ranchi girl shines at ‘Ms Plus Size’ beauty contest

Another Ranchi girl has been able to register her presence in one of the coveted beauty pageants organised annually. Garima Gautam who had recently participated in ‘Miss Plus Size North India 2018’ contest made the State proud by winning ‘Miss Most Graceful’ title.

Garima was among the top 20 contenders and gave tough competition to her counterparts during the competition. “It was an overwhelming and enriching experience to participate and showcase my aptitudes on such a big platform. I got to interact with some of best mentors from the fashion and lifestyle industry during my journey,” said Garima.

Daughter of politician Gautam Sagar Rana, Garima was asked who she considers to be a better leader, a man or a woman in the final round and was able to impress the jury members with her answer. According to Garima, leadership is not gender biased, any individual who possess qualities like team motivator, good communicator and empathy can be a good leader.

The beauty pageant organised at Chandigarh on August 12 saw the participation of more than 50 contestants in the grand finale round while the organizers had received over 800 applications from across the country.
