The BLAs should assist the officials in identifying the double names and double entries so that such names can be certified and then removed.

CEO has also made an appeal to the residents of state that if their names have been added at more than one place in the electoral roll, they should come forward with an application to the BLO to delete it from one place and retain the place of choice. CEO said that if one elector has his name at more than one place, then fine or punishment would be given.

Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer said that for adding names and amendments there are different forms. Form 6 is for adding the names of eligible elector. Such elector who has passed away or transferred to other place, such electors name should be deleted for which Form 7 has to be used while for correction the form 8 has to be used and submitted with BLO.

Additional to it, if an electoral has shifted within the same assembly constituency, that is change in polling centre, then the form 8-A can be used.
