Orientation programme held at Women’s Polytechnic College

The orientation programme of Women’s Polytechnic College was organised at the college premises. The students were told about various career  opportunities in building a strong future.

During the orientation programme, the new students took admission in the new session. In it the parents of the students were also invited, so that the parents could also learn about the subjects and courses their children are studying. In this Orientation programme, the students were told about various aspects of the institution. In addition, information about different academic and co-operative activities being organized for the students in the college was given. It is noteworthy that various works are being done for the all round development of the students in Women's Polytechnic.

Students were told that practically oriented studies are done in the college. In addition, information was given to the girl students about NSS, training and placement cell, cultural and sports activities.

The students took special interest in the scholarship schemes run in the college. Principal K. V. Rao informed that the main objective of this orientation program was to introduce new girl students well to the college. Since these students will be studying in the college for the next three years, the programme is very useful for them. Later, Rao explained the students about the various aspects of different courses through different subjects. He also highlighted the career opportunities that the students will get after completing the course.

He said that the young age is the turning point of any individual. He said that this is the time when students can make proper decisions for their career and choose the right path.

For this the students needs to be focused, he added.
