LUCKNOW: A house in Gomtinagar was allegedly burgled when the wife of the owner was alone on Saturday night. Police have lodged a case of loot but have expressed doubt about the complainant's claim. According to the police, Ashima Khan, wife of Nitin Kumar, has alleged that she was alone in her Vijay Khand -2 house on Saturday night when an unidentified person scaled the boundary wall, entered the house through the window. In her complaint, she has said that she was sleeping when the miscreant entered the house and held her hostage on knife-point.
"He forced me to open the main door to allow his three more aides to enter the house. The miscreants then looted the house and ran away," her complaint says. Her husband runs food stall and was not present in the house at that time, she told police.

Gomtinagar SHO JP Tewari said that an FIR of loot had been registered in the case against four unidentified persons but the whole series of event seemed doubtful. "A call has been made from the victim's phone to her husband during the time of the loot. Also, the couple could not give an exact list of missing valuables from the house," said Tewari. He also said that it was almost impossible to scale the boundary wall of the house and get entry. The probe, however, is still on.
