Usman Buzdar elected CM of Punjab province

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s candidate Usman Ahmed Khan Buzdar was elected as CM of Punjab on Sunday, ending the 10-year rule of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz party in the country’s politically powerful and the most populous province.

Buzdar got 186 votes while his rival and PML-N nominee Hamza Shahbaz bagged 159 votes, Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi said, announcing the result after the voting in the house.
