Oppo R17 with 8GB RAM, 25MP front camera launched

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is all set to launch its Oppo R17 Pro and R17 smartphones at an event in China on August 23. Just before the launch, the company has unveiled the price of its Oppo R17 smartphone.
The company has priced the Oppo R17 at 3499 yuan which translates into Rs 35,600. The smartphone will come in Twilight Blue and Starry Purple colour options and it will go on sale in the country from August 31 via the official Oppo website.
The Oppo R17 comes with a 6.4-inch full HD+ display with 1080x2280 pixel resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes with the same water drop like notch which increases the screen to body ratio to 91.5%. This is the first smartphone in the world to come with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. The device offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The dual-SIM device runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system topped with the company's own layer of customisation.
The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera and in-display fingerprint sensor. The rear of the device houses a 16MP primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with LED flash. The front of the smartphone is home to a 25MP selfie camera with AI, 3D Portrait, Sony IMX576 sensor and f/2.0 aperture.
Measuring 157.5×74.9×7.5mm, the Oppo R17 is backed by a 3500mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offer 4G, VoLTE,3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type C.
