It was a star studded weekend as global star Priyanka Chopra and pop sensation Nick Jonas confirmed their engagement in the form of traditional roka ceremony here in Mumbai. With both parties present the private affair did capture Bollywood biggies who were a part of PC-Nick’s special day.

Priyanka and Nick opted for a traditional look during the puja and went all chic and stylish for their cocktail party celebration thereafter. DJ Khushi who was booked in to make the guests groove on his tuned revealed how much the duo enjoyed their engagement as they danced the night away.
In a statement to IANS, DJ Khushi said, “Nick Jonas is more Indian than American. He was such a sport and was letting his lady lead the way throughout the celebrations. Both of them make such a beautifully co-ordinated couple and their sense of music is pretty much similar.”He revealed the songs that were played at the party. Khushi said, “Friends and families danced on songs by Cardi B and Drake. In Bollywood numbers, songs like ‘Ban ja rani’ and ‘Bom diggy diggy’ and of course the biggest wedding song in the country – ‘Gallan Goodiyaan’, which is a song from Priyanka’s movie, were a big hit.”
He added, “I was given a mandate of keeping the mood energetic and breezy. My set started with a lot of deep house towards the early evening followed some of pop, hip-hop and R&B, and then as the night progressed…Bollywood.”
An Exotic Cake
And what’s a party without some traditional cake cutting. According to grapevine, pastry chef Vahishta Zandbaf of Tier Nom Patisserie has designed and baked the three-tier cake that marked the happy occasion. The beautiful buttercream cake weighed a whooping 15 kg, and took 3 men to carry. 24 k gold leaf, gorgeous pink cymbidium orchids, hydrangeas and berries were used to adorn the cake.
Alia Bhatt gets emotional
Alia seemed to be rather emotional at the evening. In a video that’s doing the rounds, the Raazi actress looks as if she wiped a tear, as she pleaded to the media to move aside, and let her car enter the premises. For all you know, it could just be sweat!
Powerhouse Panditji
Pandit Ji who arrived at PC’s house, seems to have been brought to Mumbai, all the way from Shantapur. In an interview, the Pandit Ji revealed that he was brought in to do puja for the happiness of the couple and that they have no idea about the date of the wedding. The puja was mainly done so that the two can live peacefully and embark on this journey with the blessings of God.

Priyanka Chopra’s engagement news surfaced when she walked out of Salman Khan’s Bharat which had her in the lead role.
