COIMBATORE: A 28-year-old man, who rebuked and threatened traffic policemen after being pulled up for
drunk driving last month, is now on the path to reformation, thanks to the judicial magistrate court -II here that directed him to regulate traffic for 10 days.
J Sudharsan of Vijaya Nagar at Kalveerampalayam was seen assisting
traffic cops on the busy Omni Bus Stand - Radhakrishnan Road junction on Saturday morning. He said, "I am a graduate and was working in a private company. Yes, I was drunk when I fought with police. But I have realised my mistake and will obey the court's order. The court has ordered me to do the job from 6.30am to 8pm for 10 days," he said.
On July 27, a police team had stopped Sudharsan, who was on a two-wheeler, around 6.30pm. The police team found that the man was drunk. But Sudharsan threatened them, saying that his uncle is a judicial magistrate. He also challenged the cops to arrest him.
