Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday assured Rourkela youth Muktikanta Biswal that he would look into his demands for upgradation of the IGH into multi-speciality hospital and construction of a second bridge on the Brahmani river.

Muktikanta, who had made a Padayatra to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi but was not allowed an appointment with him, met the Chief Minister at his residence, Naveen Niwas, here. He was accompanied by MLA Subrat Tarai.

He had also made a Padayatra from Rourkela to meet the CM and place his demands.

Notably, Muktikanta had walked all the way from Rourkela to New Delhi to meet and urge the Prime Minister to take early steps for construction of a second bridge on the Brahmani river and upgrading the IGH to a super speciality hospital as per his earlier promise. But he had not been allowed to meet the PM.
