Man in critical condition after Logan stabbing
A man is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the neck following an argument with another group in Logan on Saturday night.
The man was walking along Ewing Road in Woodridge with three other people at about 11pm when they got into an argument with three men and two children walking in the opposite direction.
Police said the 37-year-old man was stabbed once in the neck by one of the men in the other group.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police said early indications are that the two groups are not known to each other and detectives had not identified any suspects on Sunday morning.
The three men and two children fled the scene on foot. Despite officers, the dog squad and Polair swarming the area and searching for the suspects, no one was found.
A crime scene has been declared with scientific officers and detectives examining the scene. An incident centre has also been set up at Logan Police Station.
Any witnesses or anyone who has any CCTV or dashcam footage from Ewing Road at about 11pm has been urged to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or Policelink on 131 444.
