Youth booked for sexually assaulting girl

Chhola Mandir police have booked a youth for captivating and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl at Kalyani Nagar for 20 days and a complaint was lodged when she escaped on Friday.

According to the police, the 16-year-old victim was sexually assaulted and held captive for 20 days by the accused Shanu Khan. Victim reported the incident after she escaped from the house where she was held captive.

The victim in her complaint stated that the accused kidnapped her on July 28 and held her captive till Friday and during the period she was sexually assaulted by the accused several times.

The accused is a resident of Chhola Mandir and was acquainted with the victim and on July 28 on the pretext of dropping her to nearby area where she was going victim agreed but she was held captive and raped her.

Victim was told by the accused that the owner of the room is his friend. The place would be investigated where the victim was held captive.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 363, 366, 376 (2) (N) of the IPC and sections 3 and 4 of the POCSO have started further investigation.

Police said that the search for the accused has been intensified. His past crime record would be searched.

The details of the accused would be searched which could help in his arrest. The call record details of the accused would be investigated. Police suspects that the accused has been involved in criminal activities.
