CS directs officials to keep watch over cattle smuggling

Chief secretary Sudhir Tripathi on Saturday directed DCs and SPs of all districts to keep a close watch on anti-social elements in view of the coming Bakrid festival.

Addressing the district officials through video conferencing he asked the bordering districts of state to keep vigil on the smuggling of bovine cattle adding they should take maximum use of drone and CCTV cameras in law and order works.

He added the officials should sent a clear message to all that law and order is task of administration and no one would be allowed to take it in their hands.

The CS reminded the officials of the past incidents in state adding that vigil should be kept in the sensitive areas. He passed special instruction to officials of Giridih, Bokaro, Koderma, Hazaribag, Ramgarh, Jamshedpur, Ranchi and Dhanbad stating that these districts should take all possible measures to maintain peace.

Speaking on the occasion home secrertary SKG Rahate added that control room in districts should be fully grared up to tackle emegerbncy situations dueing the festival.

Director General of Police DK Pandey asked the offcials to sprerad awareness regarding laws related to prohbited animals. He added that help of panchayat representaives and the chowkidar could be taken in this regard.

He said rumours should be stopped at inital stages. He reminded DCs and SPs of 34 point check list in controlling law and order. DGP also alerted cyber polcie stations. ADGs RK Mallick and Anurag Gupta, IG Suman Gupta and other officials were present in the meeting.
