Kerala floods: Water recedes at Kochi airport

The Kochi airport was under water for the past couple of days, and flight operations have been halted here till August 22. However, rainfall has stopped now and water has receded, leading to optimism that flights could resume earlier. In other parts of the state, the flood situation continues to be grim, with over 7 lakh people staying at relief camps. Over 350 people have been killed in the floods till now. NDRF, Army, Navy and Air Force are carrying out relief and rescue operations to bring stranded people to safety.
