Punjab: Major fire breaks out in medicine godown in Zirakpur

MOHALI: A major fire broke out in a godown of medicines located in Bhabat village in Punjab's Zirakpur on Saturday, which resulted in the loss of lakhs of rupees to its owner. Five fire tenders are struggling to control the fire.

As per the fire officials, they received a call from someone at around 10.20am. Immediately, three fire tenders were rushed to the spot by fire department.



As per the officials, they said that two fire tenders were called from the Air Force station while three from Dera Bassi fire station as no fire station has been set up for Zirakpur town.



Fire station officials said that the reason behind the fire is not clear right now and they were struggling to control the fire as soon as possible as there are other godowns lying along the incident place.
