Apparently, it all started when Drake met Athiya Shetty at a party in Los Angeles
On 11th August, Suniel Shetty celebrated his 57th birthday, and daughter Athiya Shetty took to her Instagram account to share a childhood photo of hers with father Suniel Shetty. While many of Athiya's friends from Bollywood and followers clicked heart on the photo, it was Canadian rapper Drake, who loved the photo and left a comment on it. The comment read, "Legend," which left everyone startled and questions about Athiya and Drake's connection kept coming in on the post. Athiya replied to Drake's comment with a blue heart.
Well, that's not it. What generated curiousity was Varun Dhawan's comment on the post that read: "@athiyashetty who knew you were kiki [sic]." To which, the singer replied, "Titi do you love me? (Mubarakan remix)"
Post which, Drake started following Varun Dhawan on Instagram. It was Varun Dhawan's 'Kiki' comment that hinted on the two being in a relationship. Drake's Kiki song has taken the world by storm with everyone doing the Kiki challenge, some even at the stake of risquing their lives.
According to a Filmfare report, Drake met Athiya in Los Angeles and found her really pretty. After which, Drake spoke to her and the two bonded instantly. Later, they started following each other on Instagram. The report further adds that both, Athiya and Drake are managing their long-distance relationship prettty well. Apparently, Athiya will be flying to LA to spend time with alleged beau Drake. The source informed the entertainment portal saying that they are not rushing into things. In fact, they have maintained the "we are just good friends" status to their friends but in reality, they've gone ahead in their relationship.
