Control rooms were started at office of chief engineers at
Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode. These numbers are 8547638230(Thiruvanthapuram), 0484 2361369( Kochi) 8281597985(Kozhikode) are the control rooms opened at chief engineers' offices.
Water authority will form local-level committees in association with district administration and local self government in areas which face serious drinking water crisis. There is a 30 % deficiancy in supply of drinking water due to power failures, flooding at treatment plants etc. KWA has said that it has arranged tankers to supply water in affected areas. It also assured that maintenance works will be done on war footing in areas when water level recedes.
