QAT SI suspended for narcotic misappropriation

Commissionerate police Quick Action Team (QAT) Sub-Inspector Deepak Kumar Lenka was on Friday placed under suspension on the charge of misappropriation of narcotic substances.

Lenka allegedly misappropriated narcotics substances during the course of a secret operation.

The matter is being investigated and the preliminary inquiry conducted so far has established the veracity of the allegation, a statement issued by the State police headquarters said.

“The accused SI has been placed under suspension with effect from today to facilitate an impartial inquiry. The rest of the members of QAT have been directed to return to their respective establishments with immediate effect,” the letter stated.
