NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old cab driver was robbed by three armed men in southeast Delhi's New Friends Colony on Friday evening when he was on his way to pick up a passenger.
Police said that the matter was reported when the man made a PCR call using a passerby's phone stating that he was attacked by three men who robbed him. Soon after this, a police team was sent to the spot and a case was registered.

He told the police in his complaint that he was in NFC where he had to pick up a person. He had almost reached the location and was crossing a dark stretch when his car was intercepted by a bike and two men came running towards his cab and forced him to get out of the vehicle.

He told the police that as soon as he stepped out, the men started hurling abuses at him and slapped him several times. After he repeatedly asked them who they were and why they were doing this, all three of them pulled out guns and knives from their pockets. One of them pointed a gun at him, one held a knife near his neck and the third man held a knife near his stomach. They threatened to kill him if he did not hand over his valuables.
