Kohli slammed for promotion at the Wrogn time
When former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathed his last on August 16 Twitter was flooded with emotional messages paying homage to the veteran politician. But Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli posted a tweet from his official handle that made even his fans angry.
Kohli posted a promotional tweet for a brand, Wrogn. He was instantly slammed by users on the microblogging site for being insensitive and promoting a brand when everyone expected him to say something about Vajpayee.

Netizens furious as cop tasers 87-yr-old
The Georgia police faced critical backlash on social media after one of their officer used a taser on an 87-year-old woman, Martha Al-Bishara, who was using a knife to cut dandelions in the woods near her Georgia home last week, when she was tasered and then arrested. The police personnel turned up at the site after someone called 911 and complained.
The elderly woman, who doesn’t speak English, didn’t understand when she was told to put away the knife. The police chief said that the officer was justified in using a taser to stun the grandmother as she didn’t obey his instructions. However, netizens were furious after the chief defended the official’s actions.

Noodles worth Rs 70 lakh stolen in Georgia
Officials in Georgia are investigating a series of robberies that include nearly a USD 1,00,000 (Rs 70 lakh) worth heist of Ramen noodles, media reports said. The police told the media that the noodles were stolen from a large trailer parked at a Chevron store on Georgia Highway.
The incident that took place between July 25 to August 1, has created quite a buzz on social media. While the police have gone nowhere with the investigation, people on social media have come up with creative deductions. While one person tweeted asking whether there was ‘a black market for ramen noodles’, others wondered whether the thieves were planning to build a noodle ‘Mount Everest’.
