Thieves flee with Rs 2L from three houses

Greater Noida: Unidentified thieves struck at three adjacent two-storey houses in Amarpur village of Greater Noida late on Wednesday night and stole cash and jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh while the families were asleep.
According to the police, Pramod, Deepak and Jagveer, owners of the respective houses, informed police at 5 am on Thursday when their family members woke up and found their homes ransacked and valuables missing. Pramod said the thieves stole Rs 20,000 along with jewellery while Deepak and Jagveer each were robbed of Rs 10,000 and jewellery.

“Primary questioning of the neighbours did not reveal any leads. Prima facie, it appears that the thefts were committed after proper planning and recee was done of the homes,” said Sunil Kumar Singh, SHO of Ecotech-1 police station. TNN
